Hemp found a Kentucky Senator working to remove its Controlled Substance Classification

Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell promised his state he would start working on legislation on legalizing industrial hemp. His goal is to make it an agricultural commodity. Currently, permits for growing industrial hemp in Kentucky were only used for research.

“It’s now time to take the final step and make this a legal crop,” said McConnell.
